Oh Land - Burn (buy the EP
Oh Land played their first New York gig since CMJ, which must have felt like longer than it really was to those who filled Brooklyn Bowl Monday night. Their buzz has only grown in the short weeks since CMJ, apparent in the the exodus that followed. The flyer advertised Oh Land as if they were the headliner when they were really third in a five-band lineup.
While the EP has been aging faster than New York milk, the live set seems to get better each time. The precocious Fabricius effortlessly fills the stage and enthralls boys and girls alike. You wouldn't guess she was jet-lagged from crossing the Atlantic days earlier because her cheerfulness was palpably electric. Nothing about her set felt contrived or major-label backed, which is perhaps what makes her so endearing.
Those that stuck around got to see the solid pop act Canon Logic, who featured a well-played cover of "Neighborhoods 1" and brooding rock group Arms. They both deserve more press than this.

Burn sounds awesome! I wish I had heard about her sooner but I'm slow at discovering music, haha. There's some sort of catchy/child-like feel to this eerie/odd music, I love it! Thanks for sharing the pictures ^_^
