It's weekend remix time! Here are the best of the past week (or so), all rolled up into one fat mixtape. Click to listen, or follow the jump for the tracklisting but don't jump while playing, that will kill you.

"Comme Des Enfants" was a track I picked up a few weeks ago while I was still in the early stages of my French music binge. It didn't stick on me for very long, perhaps because the original became just another worn-out pretty song. Le Matos has reinvigorated a quiet folk song into a dynamic electropop juke that emphasizes the sexiness of the singer's patient hush. Just listen to it again:
Mashups usually live only as long as their novelty allows, but to be completely honest, I can't deny the hugeness of the Miley Cyrus hook. It's even been some time since Miley debuted it on the roof of a taxi at the Teen Choice Awards, controversial pole touch and all, but everyone seems to be playing this like it was the first Britney Spears single. Apparently Miley denies ever having heard a Jay-Z song, so if you weren't sure whether she wrote the song or not, you were an idiot.
